Employment Opportunities

Rangers Valley Feedlot represents a 33,000 head cattle feedlot which is currently expanding to 40,000 head as well as backgrounding and farming operations.

1. A position has become available within the Induction / Cattle Processing Crew, reporting to the Cattle Processing Manager. This position is full time on a Monday – Friday roster. In this position your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; Administration of animal health treatments, cattle handling (on foot), processing cattle, cleaning and maintenance of water troughs, maintenance of accurate computer records, quality control and compliance with WHS regulations. 2. A pen rider position has become available within the Livestock Crew, this position reports to the Livestock Manager. The position is a full time position on a 10 day on – 4 day off roster. In this position your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; Pen riding and stock movements, monitoring and diagnosis of cattle health, administration of animal health treatments, cattle handling (foot and horses), processing cattle, cleaning and maintenance of water troughs, maintenance of accurate animal health treatments and stock movement records, quality control and compliance with WHS regulations. 3. A casual position for a Cleaner to maintain and clean our Homestead, Function Centre. The ideal candidate would be:

• Responsible.
• Hardworking.
• Reliable.
• Available to work between 10 to 20 hours per week.
• A person that is motivated and derive personal satisfaction from a job well done.
• Permanent residents or Australian citizens. NO VISA’S accepted.
• Must have own transport.

4. An Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic position has become available. Based at Rangers Valley’s feedlot located 30km north of Glen Innes and reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be interested in undertaking a career in plant maintenance and in completing a Mobile Plant Mechanic apprenticeship under the guidance of industry specialists. this position will be an integral part within the Rangers Valley team.
